EffectEdit

The pickup quote claims that the item boosts the Tears stat, but the pickup quote is actually incorrect; it increases shot speed (similar to Cat-O-Nine-Tails or Speed Ball) instead of the Tears stat.

• Magic 8 Ball also spawns one Tarot Card or Suit Card when picked up.

A Magic 8 ball is a ball who looks like the 8 ball from pool, And if you shake it, it either says: "Yes" or "No". That's the reason Isaac is wearing the head-dress of a tortune teller, because it's sort of a furtune telling thing.
